KAHLA equips Formula 1 hotel „Yas“ in Abu Dhabi

The trendy porcelain „Made in Germany“ can once again book an extraordinary reference for itself: the luxury hotel Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi chose the porcelain collection TAO by the German porcelain manufacturer KAHLA as the tableware of its four first-class restaurants.

The hotel, which opened for the public in the beginning of November 2009, offers a variety of different spectacular specialties. Made up of two buildings, half of the hotel lies in the water, while the other rests on land. The two houses are attached to each other through a bridge under which the Formula 1 race track for the newly added Grand Prize of Abu Dhabi passes through. The roof tops of the two buildings are spanned with a metal net, on which different coloured LEDs are attached. At night a fantastic panorama is created through the light effects. In the interior, the phenomenon continues. Modern facilities, large rooms and suites as well as 14 different restaurants and bars leave guests with no unfulfilled wishes.

The exquisite, international selection of the restaurants and bars is served with the highest demands to the kitchen and service personnel. To gain perfection, adequate porcelain should not be missing, which has been found in TAO (design: speziell®) by KAHLA.

The form TAO defines itself through natural shapes, sensual contours and clear lines und hereby underlines the extraordinary architecture of the hotel in the gastronomic field. This way the modern collection brings harmony, individuality and an atmosphere of well-being to the sophisticated guests of the Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi.  

Just as all the porcelain collections from the assortment of the KAHLA/Thüringen Porzellan GmbH, TAO meets the newest standards for an environment-friendly production. All series are produced at the site in Germany. With the “KAHLA Pro Eco” label the strategy of sustainability, which has been followed since 2004, is made evident through the introduction of the shape TAO.
