At the Internorga fair in Hamburg from 9th to 14th March 2007, visitors of KAHLA Hotel Porcelain and its partners RONA, Mepra and Leonardo are invited to enter the exciting landscape of table culture. The focus is on experimenting, discovering and happily accepting new culinary challenges and new innovative concepts. Also from the personnel side, news are presented in hall 8, booth EG 17. The new KAHLA team at the Internorga KAHLA Hotel Porcelain has entered the year 2007 with a new and strong team: Günther Hofmann is the new export manager. With many years of experience in the porcelain trade, his main goal is to expand the markets in the US and Asia. Andreas Popp is the new sales manager for Germany and responsible for the field and office sales management. He knows the hotel and catering trade not only from the supplier side, but has valuable contacts to continue to establish the KAHLA brand as a first-class partner. Martina Röding changes into field sales for Northern Germany, having worked in the customer service of the KAHLA partner group for some years. She will introduce herself at the Internorga as the new direct contact person for the Northern German customers. New partner The strong KAHLA partner group is added by the Italian brand Mepra. The innovative family-owned company is popular all over the world with cutlery and tableware. New highlights are coloured stainless-steel cutlery in gold, black and copper as well as mugs made of unbreakable polycarbonate in cheerful colours, presenting a very smart alternative to glass for use in pool and spa areas. Exklusive: OPUS – the extravagant mountaineer The new collection OPUS combines a futurist extravagance and the typical design with added value KAHLA is known for – and addresses an exclusive clientele. For the new KAHLA series, the designer trio „speziell produktgestaltung“ took up furniture, car and futurist architectural trends. OPUS appears like a three-dimensional stage for special treats and is suggestive of houses built by Frank O. Gehry or Daniel Libeskind. OPUS seems to have eliminated all physical rules porcelain matter has. This architecturally inspired shape can only be produced with most modern techniques – Made in Germany. The opened and turned up shape creates additional areas for holding as well as for placing food and decoration. Perfectly suited for demanding gastronomical needs: The five pieces have practical service features and can be decorated and presented with an individual touch. The maxi dish (32x27 cm) is either a dinner or gourmet plate or a serving dish. You can also choose a midi dish (25x20 cm), which is an ideal set together with the bowl (0,40 l), also serving as a lid. The mini dish (19x11 cm), taking up bread and side dishes, and the small dip bowl (15x7 cm) complete the modern series. Matching the favourite decoration and colours concept of the restaurant, OPUS can be used in pure white, in a dark brown mallow blossom décor (OPUS #1) or a modern mesh structure in copper (OPUS #2) and a trendy green (OPUS #3). True-to-style coffee break for people on the move
Four new coffee décors reaching from the classical and noble coffee style to the modern and pop-art bistro style are presented by designer Cornelia Müller on the Fine Dining Collection Elixyr with the ergonomically shaped cups. Chocolate brown, caramel or bright orange – each gastronome can find a variation matching his café, bistro, hotel bar or room. Home Plate: Chaos killer in the hotel room Inspired by the idea of design student Michéle Lontzen who became third winner in the international KAHLA design competition „20 deams of a hotel”, KAHLA now presents the Home Plate. The tray from the collection Party Connection is offered with a felt mat in individual coulours matching the relevant house, inviting the guests to place their personal belongings from their trouser pocket or handbag on it. With this, an easy and effective service for guests is offered, saving them to search for their belongings on the night desk, table, bed or other furniture in the room. Fresh colours from the décor pool The young décor Liquid by designer Cornelia Müller on the Elixyr shape has been very successful right from its market introduction in the variations gold and red. The decoration with the timeless and beautiful verve now appears in many new colours, matching almost all houses: kiwi, mango, physalis, ocean and chocolate. If the personal colour is not included, it can be chosen and produced. At the Internorga, KAHLA shows that many décors are flexible, extremely gastronomy-friendly and ideal for individual use: The décor Sound, previously on Sereno, now appears on System Plus in the new and popular colours black, chocolate and purple. Matinee is also decorated with Shark in new pastel shades. The popular bamboo décor Joia is not only found on the organic shape Elixyr, but also on the asymetrical collection Five Senses. And the clever multi-talent Update is shown with a trendy combination in white and fully black-coloured items. Successful KAHLA concepts staged again
NOTES: The porcelain to write on A special coating enables the user to write or draw on selected porcelain items with a pencil or coloured pencil. The writing or drawing can easily be erased with a rubber. Ideal as an up-to-date menu, “reserved” sign or interesting name tag on the table. Buffet flower Small companion – great show: The buffet flower is a versatile accessory for antipasti, desserts, fruit or creme. At stand-up receptions, the curved edge of the flower offers a comfortable hold for the thumbs. Served individually on the buffet or a plate, it is an exciting platform for special treats. Peacock A subtle peacock feather links the successful ranges Elixyr, Cumulus, and Five Senses and Abra Cadabra permitting a wide variety of uses in catering and hotels. The feather motif is light, romantic, and decorative – a hint of Orient and Art Nouveau adds elegance to the contemporary style. Exclusively yours!
