The booth at hall 8, EG 17 is transformed into a true treasure island presenting new treasures made of porcelain, glass and stainless steel.

PREMIERE AT INTERNORGA
Jewels for the table: Diamonds & Pearls

With lightness and drama Diamonds & Pearls, the new porcelain collection of the German trendsetter KAHLA, is fulfilling the desire of the modern gourmet and creating an atmosphere of well-being at the table. KAHLA’s successful designers Barbara Schmidt and Mirjami Rissanen have united their skills in the ten-part porcelain series, which is especially designed for the demands of international food and beverage. The porcelain accessories, which are reminiscent of soft pearls and irregular crystals, will be the highlight at the KAHLA booth.

A sense of imagination presents an uncomplicated dining experience garnished with Diamonds & Pearls. The designers have formed independent design highlights in pure white creating design harmony with complimentary KAHLA collections: Diamonds & Pearls - jewels for the table. Two thematically combined, yet uniquely designed pieces were the result: Diamonds by Barbara Schmidt and Pearls by Mirjami Rissanen.

Diamonds:
Diamonds consists of three plates and two bowls which have the form of natural crystals which are slightly irregular while maintaining soft contours. This geometric collection can be presented in endless combinations whether being stacked, arranged on top of one another or side by side creating a new structure each time. A dramatic effect is created by the crystal structured bottom which projects its image upon the upper portion of the porcelain. This display is particularly striking in contrast with modern culinary creations.

Pearls:
The bowls of Pearls are characterized by a collar offering a surface to touch or to stage cuisine. The shape is reminiscent of scallop shells cradling their pearls inside. The collection consists of three bowls which are perfect for tapas or beverage, especially tea and wellness drinks. The set of bowls is completed by a small teapot with an elegant handle and a gently sloped lid that can be used for placing a tea bag. One of the highlight of Pearls is a diminutive bowl for canapés, desserts or snacks that comfortably nests in one hand. It’s a true gem that may soon become to the collection’s favourite accessory.

Amouse bouche, soup, salad, pasta, meat, fish, dessert, espresso, tea – the possibilities are only limited by one’s imagination with Diamonds & Pearls. The bowls and plates can be used for any kind of meal or appetizer, either on their own, combined with each other or with pieces from other KAHLA porcelain collections. All of this is offered by the new KAHLA collection Diamonds & Pearls – Jewels for the table.

Sensual and practical: Five Senses and Update are combined to new banquet form

Many KAHLA-customers already know that the Update plates and Five Senses cups (design: Barbara Schmidt) can perfectly be combined to a modern banquet line. In order to unite the collections’ articles to this new banquet form, KAHLA designer Cornelia Müller developed three new décors.

Soft cognac coloured lines (Pikado, décor number 70-610), a modern pattern in classic black and grey (Pixel, décor number 70-611 and 70-612) and a cheerful décor in dark blue (Curly, décor number 70-613) offer charming solutions for every host.

The attractive banquet programme is rounded off with a new plate size in the Update collection (article number 323422). With a size of 16 cm, the plate can be used as bread, buffet or snack plate.

OPUS – the awarded mountaineer

The new collection OPUS combines a futurist extravagance and the typical design with added value KAHLA is known for – and successfully addresses an exclusive clientele. Since its introduction last year, OPUS has won two design awards: the reddot award 2007 and Form 2007.

For the new KAHLA series, the designer trio „speziell produktgestaltung“ took up furniture, car and futurist architectural trends. OPUS appears like a three-dimensional stage for special treats. The opened and turned up shape creates additional areas for holding as well as for placing food and decoration. Perfectly suited for demanding gastronomic needs: The five pieces have practical service features and can be decorated and presented with an individual touch.

The maxi dish (32x27 cm) is either a dinner or gourmet plate or a serving dish. You can also choose a midi dish (25x20 cm), which is an ideal set together with the bowl (0,40 l), also serving as a lid. The mini dish (19x11 cm), taking up bread and side dishes, and the small dip bowl (15x7 cm) complete the modern series.

Matching the favourite decoration and colours concept of the restaurant, OPUS can be used in pure white, in a dark brown mallow blossom décor (OPUS #1) or a modern mesh structure in copper (OPUS #2) and a trendy green (OPUS #3).

Partners’ treasures

The sales partnership between KAHLA; RONA and MEPRA has never been as creative and progressive as today. Besides new forms and décors from KAHLA, two new glass lines from RONA and a new cutlery collection from MEPRA will premiere at Internorga.

RONA:
The drop shaped stem glasses from the new range ”Sensual“ fulfil all wishes of sommeliers and lovers of good wine. The line “Invitation” with robust stems and a beautiful silhouette meets every gastronomic demand.

MEPRA:
A new cutlery collection and new products made of polycarbonate, which are perfect for pool and spa areas, enrich the product line of the popular Italian brand.
