KAHLA is a Winning Team at Olympic Hotels in Beijing

Just before the opening of the Olympic Summer Games the hotel division of the German porcelain manufacturer KAHLA announces new references at this year’s host country China. KAHLA recently supplied the InterContinental Beijing North, the first luxury hotel of the Beijing Olympic Centre, which opened in April 2008. With five restaurants and cafés, the 350-room hotel will accommodate spectators, journalists, athletes and guests from all around the world. The InterContinental hotel group, which is with its 59 hotels the largest international hotel operator in China, chose innovative KAHLA products as well as design and quality “Made in Germany”. KAHLA also supplied a new facility at the Chinese city Quingdao, where the Olympic aquatic competitions will take place in August 2008. Multifunctional bowls and platters from KAHLA’s successful Update and Five Senses collections were chosen to serve international, Chinese and Cantonese food.

Another successful reference in China is the Marriott City Wall Hotel in Beijing. The exclusive hotel is the 11th facility in the hotel group to be opened in Beijing. KAHLA provided writeable platters from the collection Notes which allows personal messages like handwritten welcome greetings for the guest rooms.

Guests, who have fallen in love with the innovative porcelain and are looking for personal gifts like writeable porcelain or articles from other KAHLA collections like touch!, the porcelain with a velvety soft surface, should visit the Beijing Shin Kong Place. There, KAHLA recently opened a partner shop together with Fissler, the German producer of high-quality pots. Fissler products are popular kitchen utensils in Chinese households. Also in the economic centre Shanghai KAHLA is successfully positioned in Chinese retail. KAHLA’s sales partner Shiamas just opened their new 12,000 square foot flagship store “Exclusivités” at the luxury shopping mall “Plaza 66” offering high-class tableware and interior design.
