KAHLA is extending its TAO porcelain collection with new items and the "Li" décor. TAO recently won the iF product award

Pure nature. That"s "Li", the fresh new design in KAHLA"s wellness collection TAO. Lì or Li is Chinese for pattern or texture and describes the delicate overlapping fern motifs on cups, plate and platter rims in vivid light and dark shades. The food and serving surfaces are unpatterned to leave free rein to your presentational skills. "Li" also has another meaning in Chinese - use and profit - and this also fits: as you can truly profit from this décor with its vibrant green motifs. Light, healthy cuisine of the contemporary wellness gastronomy is given an even fresher touch with "Li".

In harmonious interplay with the balanced forms of the TAO collection, “Li” creates a service combining nature and table décor to perfection. TAO "Li" is a joy to behold. The gentle, pleasing colours and shapes catch your eye at the buffet and are the ideal choice for your teatime after relaxing in the spa.

A new appropriate object of the line is the 1.4 l teapot. Its curved contours fit perfectly in the user"s hand, and your thumb rests snugly in the dent of the lid when pouring. The new macchiato cup is equally ergonomic. Its handle literally grows from its body - another reason not to put it down. Two new 30 and 36 centimetre diameter platters are perfect for cakes, tray bakes and fruit. They reflect the typical TAO combination of gently flowing and intertwined dips and rises and, presented on the table, look like pebbles gently moulded by the water. New extra-large bowl adds further to the soft and comforting table ambience with its sensuous shape. 2.8 litre capacity ensures plenty of room for salads and pasta dishes for the assembled company.

The new products signal KAHLA is successfully continuing TAO"s development the year following its launch. An overwhelmingly positive and international response proves this comfort collection has struck a chord with many. The legendary and luxurious hotel "Yas" at the Formula One track in Abu Dhabi is just one establishment that has opted for TAO. Its four first class restaurants have now been equipped with the "Made in Germany" porcelain range. In Germany, TAO recently won the renowned iF design award 2010 for excellence in product design.

A vision of harmonious coexistence of man and nature does not only shape TAO aesthetically. Like all KAHLA collections, TAO too meets the standards of sustainable production. The "KAHLA pro Eco" symbol has testified to the responsible use of natural resources through economising on drinking water and energy, reducing carbon dioxide and using recyclable packaging and advertising material since TAO"s launch.
