Left-handers are said to have qualities like high creativity and sensitivity. Whoever wants to out themselves as one, can do so now with a cup especially designed for left-handers. The newest porcelain idea of the left-hander shop www.linkshaender.de is a real eye catcher. What seems to be a normal cup at first glance turns out to be an individual porcelain accessory that should not be missing in any left-hander household.
Three holes on the rim of the cup make it impossible to hold the cup in one’s right hand and drink accident-free. This cheeky element was an idea of the left hander shop in Erfurt and was subsequently added to the cups of the KAHLA-collection Update. Designer Barbara Schmidt created the multifunctional program, which has been honoured repeatedly with awards, for creative minds that prefer uncomplicated and at the same time stylish design.
The employees of the left-hander shop in Erfurt wholly agree. Since November, the left-hander cup in the colour variations violet and green is available in the historic centre of Erfurt, as well as in the s online shop www.linkshaender.de for a price of 10,95 euros (in a gift box for 12,95 euros). The broad selection offers everyone who is left-handed the appropriate equipment for everyday use. The idea of selling various articles suited for left-handers already came to Heiko Hilscher, the founder of the online shop, in 1998, when he realised how difficult it was to find a usable scissor for his left-handed spouse. Thus, he opened his own store punctually to International Left-Hander’s Day on August 13th 2002.
The ability to realize a distinctive idea, such as a cup for left-handers, is one of the key competences of the KAHLA/Thüringen Porzellan GmbH. Artvertising, the division for promotional designs on porcelain at KAHLA, leaves no wishes unfulfilled: logos, motifs, colour and text can be designed according to individual expectations and desires – on cups, sets or whole collections.
